EBENEZER HOLDS ITS ANNIVERSARY BIG SING!

Ebenezer is always referred to as a ‘Singing Church’ and even on the Anniversary service held on Sunday, October 28, 2017, Rev. Milton Lightbourne made mention of this fact. A tradition brought to Ebenezer by Rev. John Tudor, the Big Sing Concept has taken place many times in Ebenezer.

A service dedicated to singing the hymns of our faith. During the morning worship service on Sunday, October 22, 2017, those present united their voices in another Big Sing. Presenters Kimberley Ferguson and Timothy Pinder told us the stories behind the hymn to give a better understanding of how and why the hymn was written.

​Music Director, Barry Newbold led many of the hymns with vigor and enthusiasm. Favorites including Marching to Zion, O for a Thousand Tongues, Through All the Changing Scenes of Life, Blessed Assurance and Onward Christian Soldiers filled the Sanctuary with tunes that everyone will long remember.
