SIR DURWARD AUDITORIUM NAMED

On Sunday, April 27, 2014 Sir Durward Knowles, Lady Holly Knowles, their children, family, friends and community leaders witnessed the unveiling of the new Sir Durward Knowles Auditorium. Located at the Epworth Hall, the Auditorium has now been given an official name in honour of a man who has given so much to his church and community over the many years. The day began with an uplifting service in the church sanctuary where we were reminded by Rev. Godfrey Bethell of the many positive characteristics of Sir Durward which led to this honour being bestowed upon him. This was followed by a brief dedication of the Auditorium at the Epworth Hall. The media was present to document the day. Sir Durward in his usual style, gave a very witty response thanking all in attendance for the gesture and his appreciation for everything that had been done to make the day a success. The plaque on the left is mounted on the inside of the door in the auditorium paying tribute to Sir Durward.
